Meteo Calpe is located at the hill named 'Colina del Sol' in Calpe and lies approximately 108 meter above sea level. Calpe (or Calp in Valencian) is a coastal town located in the comarca of Marina Alta in the province of Alicante (Spain) by the Mediterranean Sea.

The region is also known as the 'Costa Blanca', what means white coast. This name was given to the region because every spring thousands of Almond trees blossom with exuberant white and pink colours. This makes the region even more beautiful in the months December and January. ( the climate is typically nine months of spring and tree months of summer )

Benidorm: a well known large city that is also depending on tourism and pensioners and has many facilities. The city lies about 18 kilometres from Calpe and has a huge skyline and is also called the Manhattan of Mediterranean Sea. On different locations in Calpe you can see the Benidorm skyline.

On the other side of Calpe lies the picturesque village of Moraira. This is one of the most unspoiled and luxury resorts on the Costa Blanca and has 8 km of beautiful coastline.

The Costa Blanca is very popular by hikers and cycling fanatics due to the nice hills, mountains, nature, roads, and good accommodations.

One of highlights is the backend mountains which go as high as 1588 meters on the top of the Aitana mountain. In winter time don't be surprised if you run into multiple of pro-cycling teams. It is well known that a lot of them stay in Calpe and train in the backcountry of the Costa Blanca in wintertime.
